(02.02.2012) Businessmen to increase ‘JAT’ fleet with three planes

The new ‘JAT’ which is to be developed by several Serbian businessmen should have 400 employees instead of current 1200. The new company shall also try to purchase three new planes in order to be profitable as of 2015. As ‘Blic’ learns, businessmen Miroslav Miskovic, Miodrag Kostic, Miroslav Bogicevic and Goran Percevic are to invest EUR 25 millions.

There are half a million of hungry and inadequately fed people and 400,000 hectares of of neglected arable land. This year Serbia Government has a budget to employ 30,000 people only. In 2011 it provided job to 50,000 people using money of the tax payers. The National Employment Service got about three billion Dinars for this year. The amount provided last year was 7.1 billions.

SARAJEVO (Bosnia and Herzegovina), February 3 (SeeNews) - The share indices of Bosnia's two bourses closed mostly higher this week, stock exchange data showed.
The SASX-10 index, which tracks the 10 blue chips of the Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE), closed up 0.93% from a week earlier at 826.2 points on Friday.

(03.02.2012) Talks with Buyers Eyeing OMV's Business in Croatia, Bosnia To Start in Next Few Months
Austria's OMV said on Friday it plans to start in the next few months talks with parties interested in acquiring its retail and commercial business in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina.
In line with OMV's strategy, the sale of OMV Hrvatska and OMV BH is under consideration. This would involve a total withdrawal from both markets by the end of 2013, the Austrian company said in a statement.

(02.02.2012) Germany’s Umarex Eyes Majority Stake in Bosnia’s Pobjeda-Sport
Germany's Umarex plans to acquire a majority stake in Bosnian ammunition maker Pobjeda-Sport, the government of Bosnia's Federation said.
The Federation government is expected to shortly approve the transaction, it said in a statement earlier this week, quoting the Federation's prime minister Nermin Niksic. The statement was released after a meeting between Niksic and Umarex vice president Martin Wonisch and executive director Johanes Fink.

SThe Macedonian stock indices continued their fall in lower turnover this week, bourse data indicated on Friday. The MBI-10 index, which tracks the 10 blue chips on the Macedonian Stock Exchange, edged down 0.01% from last Friday, closing at 1,931.58 points.

Macedonia has called a tender for the construction of a multi-story car park in Skopje’s downtown, a notice in the EU procurement journal indicated.
The contract covers the construction, craftsmen works, installation and other services related to the construction of a car garage with business premises at the Mal Ring site in Skopje, the notice in the Tenders Electronic Daily (TED) showed on Thursday.

(02.02.2012) Macedonian C-Bank Cuts 2012 GDP Growth Forecast to 2.4%
Macedonia's central bank said on Thursday it cut its forecast for the country's gross domestic product (GDP) growth in 2012 to 2.4% from 3%, mainly due to the euro zone debt crisis. Macedonia's economic growth in 2011 stood at a real 3.3%, NBRM said in a statement, quoting preliminary data.

Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and national coordinator of Serbia's cooperation with the EU in the Danube region Bozidar Djelic said today that of 24 municipalities in the Danube area only nine have submitted projects, although the financial construction of the Danube strategy will soon be closed.
Opening the conference “Danube strategy, ideas and projects”, Djelic pointed out that there is no justification for such inertia in these municipalities, especially bearing in mind that the proposed projects would be the sources of funding.

(31.03.2010) BULGARIA: Bulgaria PM Accepts Health Minister Resignation
Bulgaria PM Boyko Borisov has accepted the resignation of Health Minister Bozhidar Nanev after he was charged over the ‘Tamiflu’ scandal on Tuesday.
Borisov said Wednesday that he had accepted Nanev’s resignation but added that he has not yet been dismissed from his post. He added that more materials regarding the case will be presented after the Easter Holidays.
“The only chance for our citizens and Europe to believe us is if we are uncompromising. I do not care from which party people come from as long as justice is served,” Borisov concluded.
