Status New Shares put the beginning of Bulgarian investments in Croatia
12 July 2006

Status New Shares made its first investment in Croatia, when on Wednesday it got shares of Jadranska Banka for over 15 thousands euro on the Zagreb Stock Exchange. In fact the fund became the first Bulgarian mutual fund investing in Croatian stock market.

This particular transaction is part of the fund’s strategy of entering different stock exchanges from the region. Just before a couple of weeks Status New Shares bought 2 thousand shares from the privatization of the Romanian Electricity Company Transelectrica for over EUR 10 000.

Status New Shares’ main interest is the process of privatization of national companies through the stock exchange. The rapid economy growth and the perspective of future acceptance in the Europe Union of Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Montenegro are great prerequisites to raise the prices on their stock markets.
